This is the first Indian land to greet the sun. Once described as the 'Hidden Land', the greatest attraction of the State is its dazzling array of flora and fauna in a habitat that combines glacial terrain, alpine meadows, and sub-tropical rain forests.
Day 1 : Arrival Kolkata
Meet our representative on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Kolkata is famous for films, poetry, art and dance. It is also called the intellectual capital of India. A visit the botanical gardens which house the World’s second largest & the oldest Banyan tree. Overnight in Kolkata
Day 2 : Kolkata / Chandernagor / Kolkata
This morning, an excursion to Chandernagor, situated along the banks of the River Ganges, the city abides by her own characteristics. The ''City of Liberty" has always attracted people from all over the world. This small town, has a unique blend of culture and heritage which is indefinable in history. Later, a guided walk around the colonial city. Overnight in Kolkata
Day 3 : Kolkata / Guwahati
Early morning leave for Guwahati by flight. Excavations trace the origins of the city to around the 6th Century. This ‘City of Eastern Light’ situated on the bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra, is the gateway to North Eastern India. Afternoon, visit the Kamakhya Temple atop the Neelachal Hill. A high seat of the Shakti Sect. Visit the Jatinga, Umananda Temple, and the Nabagraha Temple. Overnight in Guwahati
Day 4 : Guwahati / Itanagar
Morning drive to Itanagar - The capital of Arunachal Pradesh. It is believed that a Sage named Vyas meditated here. Itanagar was called Mayapur during the reign of the Jiti Dynasty which ruled the region in the 11th Century. Even during the reign of the Jiti Kings, Mayapur was the capital city. Arrival at Itanagar by evening. Overnight in Itanagar
Day 5 : Itanagar
Morning, visit the magnificent Ita Fort, dating back to the 15th Century, built by King Ramachandra. Also, visit the Buddhist Temple & Gayker Sinyi. Visit the Jawaharlal Nehru Museum. All prototype of bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of different tribes and apparel, design and functional tools and other handicrafts are on display here. Overnight in Itanagar.
Day 6 : Itanagar / Ziro
Morning, proceed to Ziro, which is a small picturesque destination with pine and bamboo groves, villages, a craft centre and Tarin Fish Farm. The indigenous method of rice cultivation is also worth seeing in this area. En route visit Zoram village. Overnight in Ziro
Day 7 : Ziro
After breakfast, enjoy an interesting visit to the Apa Tani Tribes. The women here wear abstract nose rings. The women here are famous for their weaving skills. They are worshippers of the Donyi Polo faith and believe in the power of spirits & souls who bless them. Overnight in Ziro
Day 8 : Ziro / Daporijo
Morning, proceed towards Daporijo. En route, visit Hill Miri villages. Daporijo, is a beautiful place on the right bank of the River Subansiri dotted with picturesque villages along route. Also, visit the historical caves of this area. Overnight in Daporijo
Day 9 : Daporijo / Along
Early morning, visit Lida village. Depart for Along, and visit Bora Rupak and other Galong villages enroute. The Along village is located on the Southeren bank of River Siyom & the Adis (the Local tribe) are nature worshippers. Overnight in Along
Day 10 : Along
After breakfast, spend the day to explore the Gallong & Miniyong tribal villages. Take a walk on the hanging bridge on the River Siyum. Later, visit one of the largest Gallong tribal villages. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Along
Day 11 : Along / Pasighat
In the morning, proceed to Pasighat - situated on the banks of the River Siang and is at a height of 152 meters from sea level. Pasighat is ideal for river rafting, boating and angling on River Siang. En route visit Adi Miyong village to witness a local Tapu Dance. On arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight in Pasighat
Day 12 : Pasighat / Dibrugarh
Morning, leave for Bogivil Ghat to board the boat to Dibrugarh. Leave for Dibrugah crossing the River Bramhaputra on a local passenger boat (approx. 1 hr). On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight in Dibrugarh
Day 13 : Dibrugarh / Sibsagar
Morning proceed to Sibsagar - the capital of the Ahom Kings who ruled Assam before the advent of the British. The town is built round the Sibsagar Tank, dug over 200 years ago. The tank is above town level although situated in the heart of the town. On its banks you would see some of the most famous Temples of Sibsagar. Overnight in Sibsagar
Day 14 : Sibsagar / Majuli
Morning, proceed to Majuli, the world’s largest river island (886 sq km) and is famous for its 22 ancient Monasteries or Satras, which also serve as centres for the preservation of Assamese arts. The institution of the Satra was founded in the 15th Century by the great Assamese poet, composer and philosopher Sankardeva. Overnight in Majuli
Day 15 : Majuli / Kaziranga
Morning, proceed to Kaziranga National Park. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. Overnight in Kaziranga
Day 16 : Kaziranga
Early morning go for a Safari into the Park. The open vistas make it relatively easy to see many species of wildlife in a day. Enjoy an elephant ride in the afternoon. Overnight in Kaziranga
Day 17 : Kaziranga / Guwahati
Early in the morning, proceed towards Guwahati city. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight in Guwahati
Day 18 : Guwahati / Kolkata
Morning leave for Kolkata by flight. Upon arrival panoramic sightseeing of the City. Overnight in Kolkata
Day 19 : Depart from Kolkata
in time transfer to International airport to board your flight back home.
