Magical Rajasthan & Kerala Tour Package

Duration: 14 Nights / 15 Days

(Mumbai-Kochi-Houseboat-Periyar-Madurai-Trichy-Tanjore-Mahabalipuram-Chennai-Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra-Delhi)

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai  Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 2: Mumbai  

Mumbai is a commercial Centre and the hub of the world's largest film industry commonly called Bollywood. Early morning after breakfast, proceed for half day excursion to Elephanta Caves (closed on Monday). Afternoon sightseeing of Mumbai includes visit of the Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Aquarium and Marine Drive also known as "Queens Necklace". Later, visit the Museum of Wales and walk towards the Victoria station and then to Mumbai's famous Colaba market. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 3: Mumbai/Cochin (By morning flight) Early morning after tea/coffee transfer to airport to board flight to Cochin. Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Cochin now called 'Kochi' is the commercial hub of Kerala and a town of great historical importance. It has one of the finest natural harbors. Make a visit to the Fort area including the Dutch Palace, the Church of St. Frances and the Jewish synagogue. Evening attend Kathakali dance show at an auditorium. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 4: Cochin /Alleppey (60 Kms/01 & ½ Hrs) then board House Boat  Morning after breakfast, transfer to Alleppey Jetty and check in to the House Boat for an overnight journey on back water. Lunch, dinner and overnight in the House Boat.  Day 5: De-House Boat at Alleppey and then to Periyar (140 Kms/04 Hrs) After breakfast, de-board House Boat and then leave by car for Periyar. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel.  In the afternoon visit the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary with a rare species of wildlife, birds and a Tiger Reserve. The reptilian population boasts of monitor lizards, which can be spotted basking in the sun, on the rocks along the lakeshore. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 6: Periyar / Madurai (135 Kms/03 Hrs) After breakfast depart for Madurai -one of the oldest cities of India famous for is rich heritage and promoting Tamil language through "Sangam”. Arrival and check into the hotel. In the evening, visit Meenakshi Temple to attend Aarti ceremony. Prior returning to the Hotel, visit the local market. Madurai is popular for handloom Sarees, brass works, Tanjore paintings, handicrafts and antiques. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 7: Madurai  Morning after breakfast, half day sightseeing of Maduraii city, which is the cultural capital of South India. Visit Meenakshi Temple – interesting feature of the temple is its ‘Hall of a Thousand Pillars. Afternoon free for independent activities. Overnight at the Hotel.  Day 8: Madurai / Trichy / Tanjore  (190 Kms/05 Hrs ) After breakfast leave for Tanjore enroute visiting Trichy. Trichy - built up by the Nayaks of Madurai. Trichy has a famous Rock Fort, rising 105 meters (300 feet) over the city on the banks of the Cauvery River. Thereafter continue your journey towards Tanjore. On arrival, check in to the hotel for overnight stay.  Day 9: Tanjore / Mahabalipuram (300 Kms/06 Hrs) Morning after breakfast, start your day with a city tour of Tanjore - the capital of the Chola Empire from the tenth to the fourteenth Century. Also known as the city of temples, dotted with no fewer than 74 temples. Visit the most famous Brihadeshwara temple. Thereafter leave for Mahabalipuram and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 10: Mahabalipuram/Kanchipuram/Mahabalipuram (135 Kms/05 Hrs) Morning after breakfast, proceed for a tour of Mahabalipuram – situated on the shore of the Bay of Bengal, is a small, quiet seaside resort with a unique 7th-Century Shore Temple, a lovely beach and some of the most beautiful rock-cut temples in the world. In the afternoon, visit Kanchipuram, one of the oldest towns in India, famous for its hand-woven silk material. Return to the hotel. Day 11: Mahabalipuram/Chennai (55 Kms/01 Hrs) then Chennai city to  Chennai Airport by car-20 Kms (Chennai /Jaipur by flight-1600/1835 Hrs) Morning after breakfast, stretch yourself at the beautiful sandy beach. In time leave for Chennai airport (enroute orientation tour of Chennai city) to board flight for Jaipur. On arrival meet our representative & transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.  Day 12: Jaipur Morning after breakfast, half day excursion to Amber Fort where elephant ride will be provided to ascend to the Fort. Visit the Palaces of Rajasthan, with its crimped rooms full of mirrors and the old harem, in true labyrinth style. Also visit the Kali Temple. Leather articles are not permitted to be taken inside the Temple. In the afternoon, tour of the Pink City visiting delightful Palace Of Winds, City Palace Complex and the fascinating Astronomical Observatory. Return to hotel in the evening and overnight. Day 13: Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (240 Kms/06 Hrs) After early morning breakfast, leave by car for Agra popular for the world famous Taj Mahal. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri -was the capital of the Mughal Empire for about 10 years. Then it was abandoned for unknown reasons. It includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. Thereafter, continue drive towards Agra and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit world famous Taj Mahal (a symbol of love) and Agra Fort (strong & magnificent Red Fort - built by the three generations of Mughal Emperors between the year 1565 and 1573). Overnight at the Hotel. Day 14: Agra / Delhi (216 Kms/03 Hrs through New Expressway) Morning after breakfast, leave by car for Delhi and upon arrival, proceed for combined sightseeing of New and Old Delhi. New Delhi sightseeing includes visit of Qutab Minar, Humayu’s Tomb, India Gate and drive past Government buildings. Old Delhi once the capital of Islamic India, with crumbling Havelies contrasts sharply with the open, spacious streets of New Delhi. Sightseeing includes drive past The Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 15: Depart from Delhi  Morning after breakfast, transfer to the International Airport to board a homebound flight.
