This itinerary covers the following destinations : Delhi - Shimla - Sarahan - Kafnoo - Upper Mulling - Kara - Base Bhaba Pass - Bara Baldar - Mud - Sangam - Kaza - Keylong - Udeypur - Manali - Nalagarh - Chandigarh - Delhi

Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi

Arrival at Delhi and meet our representative. Enjoy a traditional Indian Welcome ceremony. Thereafter, transfer to the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi

Humayun Tomb

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Delhi - The capital city of India, comprises of Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of the Moguls between the 12th and the 19th Century. Delhi for centuries has been the seat of power. You get to see many Mosques, historical Monuments and Forts, the most notable being the famous Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. The medieval atmosphere of the bazaars of Old Delhi contrasts sharply with the open, spacious streets of New Delhi, the imperial city created as the capital of India by the British.

Visit Old Delhi and experience the beauty of the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk (a famous and most popular street of Old Delhi) and Raj Ghat - the site of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation.

In the afternoon, a visit to New Delhi - drive past the stately Government buildings of the British era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Then continue onto the beautiful Humayun's Tomb of the Mughal era & the predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. End of the tour at the towering minaret of the Qutab Minar. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 03 : Delhi / Shimla

Early morning, leave for the railway station to board the Shatabadi Express train for Chandigarh.

Arrival at Chandigarh and proceed for Shimla (3 hrs). The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the summer capital of the British Raj. One of the most famous tourist destinations of India, Shimla, located in Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill station. Shimla abounds in natural beauty and looks picture perfect. The small hill station sits amidst the lofty snow-clad Himalayan ranges, surrounded by lakes and lush green pastures.

Day 04 : Shimla / Sarahan

Early in the morning, drive to Sarahan via Narkanda and Rampur. Sarahan is small town in Himachal Pradesh of India. It is the site of famous Bhimakali Temple, dedicated to the mother Goddess Bhimakali, presiding deity of the rulers of the former Bushahr State. A visit to the Bhimakali Temple in the evening.

Day 05 : Sarahan / Kafnoo (2427 meters)

Drive to the small village of Kafnoo. Permit details have to be entered and stamped at the Police Check Post at Kafnoo.

Overnight stay in a Camping site in tents.

Day 06 : Kafnoo / Trek to Upper Mulling (3470 meters)

We start the trek for about 5.00 hrs, a difficult yet adventurous walk. Kafnoo is a picturesque hamlet located 18 km from Kara in Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by lush green meadows, deodar and pine trees, Kafnoo offers panoramic views of snow-capped peaks all around. The Bhaba River flows through the village. Kafnoo is an ideal base for trekking.

Overnight stay at Upper Mulling in a Camping site in tents.

Day 07 : Trek to Upper Mulling / Kara

We start the trek to Kara (4 hours approximately), following the left side of the River Bawa. At the far end of the meadows is an ideal Camping site by the river.

Over night stay in a Camping site in tents.

Base Bhaba Pass

Day 08 : Trek to Kara / Base Bhaba Pass (4290 meters)

We start the trek to the Bawa Pass base. This is a tough trek of up to 6 to 7 hours. Later, enjoy a steep climb of about 3 to 4 hours trail along the right side of the Bawa stream.

Day 09 : Trek to Bhaba Pass (5540 meters) / Bara Baldar

Today, we start a steep descent for the first 3 kilometers followed by a 5 hour walk along a narrow but clear trail to the First Camp in the Pin Valley.

Day 10 : Trek to Bara Baldar / Mud (3810 meters)

This morning we begin with a trek to Mud located in the Pin valley, an easy trek of about 5 hours.

Day 11 : Trek to Mud / Sangam (3650 meters)

After breakfast we start the trek to Sangam (a 17 Kms Trek / 4-5 hours approximately). Sangam is an attractive village located at the confluence of the Pin & Parhio River.

Day 12 : Sangam

The next morning laze around. In the afternoon, take a walk down to visit the Gungri Monastery. Sangam is a quaint village located at the meeting point of Pin and Parhio Rivers.

Day 13 : Sangam / Kaza (3600 meters)

After breakfast, drive to Kaza, en route visit Tabo and Dankar Gompa. The town of Kaza, situated along the Spiti River river at an elevation of 3,800 meters above sea level, is the largest township and commercial center of the valley.

Overnight stay in a Guest House.

Day 14 : Kaza

This morning is free and at leisure. In the afternoon, visit Ki Monasteries and after an uphill drive further onwards reach Kibber village. Kibber, the highest village in the world, is located in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh, at an altitude of about 4205 meters. In the evening return to Kaza town.

Day 15 : Kaza / Keylong (Drive 175 kilometers / 8 hours approximately)

In the morning, after breakfast drive to Keylong via Kunzum Pass (4551 meters).

An English traveller aptly described Keylong as "a rough cut emerald in a bronze and silver setting." The brown hills and snowy peaks are indeed a pleasure to behold. Set amidst fields of barley and buckwheat in patches, Keylong is the administrative headquarters of Lahaul. Keylong is home to the Tibetan Centre for Performing Arts. Set amidst fields of barley and buckwheat in patches, Keylong gives the impression of being a land of abundance in the otherwise starved region of Lahaul.

Day 16 : Keylong / Udeypur / Keylong

Today, proceed for a full day visit to Trilokpur and Udeypur. Return to Keylong in the evening for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel/guest house.

Day 17 : Keylong / Manali (drive 115 kilometers / 6 hours approximately)

In the early morning, visit Khardong Gompa. Later, proceed to Manali (7 hrs drive approximately).

Day 18 : Manali

The day is free and at leisure. Manali nestled the Beas River valley, is an important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, India, near the Northern end of the Kullu Valley.

Day 19 : Manali / Nalagarh (261 kilometers / 7 - 8 hours approximately)

After breakfast drive to Nalagarh with packed lunch. The evening is at your disposal. Nalagarh is the gateway to Himachal Pradesh in North India. The Fort is located on a hillock at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas affording a panoramic view of the Shivalik Hills beyond the Sirsa River Overnight stay at Nalagarh Fort.

Day 20: Nalagarh / Chandigarh / Delhi (55 kilometers - 1.5 hours approximately by train)

After breakfast, depart for Chandigarh Railway Station to board the Shatabadi Express train for Delhi. Arrival at Delhi and welcome meet with our local representative, and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your disposal to relax or for souvenir shopping.

Late in the evening, leave for the International airport to catch your flight for your onward destination.
