Day 1 : Delhi

Depart for Delhi. Night on board the plane.

Day 2 : Delhi

The colour & romance of India welcomes you with arms wide open as you reach Delhi. The aroma of Indian traditions gets hold of you in a fascinating way.

The capital of India, Delhi, is one of the liveliest places in the whole world with something exciting & unexpected always happening at every corner every moment. For a first time visitor, it serves as a perfect start to a journey towards cultural wealth, different religious beliefs and the dynamisms of India. Delhi can often be both, a melting pot as well as a mosaic of cultures & a keen traveller can take back with him a multitude of experiences.

Welcome meeting with our representative and assistance upon arrival, thereafter transfer to the hotel.

Later proceed for a city tour of New & Old Delhi. Visit the buildings of the British era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun's Tomb of the Mughal era (UNESCO World Heritage Site) & a prototype of the world famous Taj Mahal. Later explore the towering Qutab Minar(UNESCO World Heritage Site). In the afternoon, visit Old Delhi of the Mughals comprising of the Red Fort & the Jama Masjid. Also visit Raj Ghat-The final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi.

Return to the Hotel.

Day 3 : Delhi / Agra

In the morning, take the road towards Agra, the old imperial capital of India. Then, get set to travel on a quaint horse pulled carriage, locally known as a 'tonga', to visit to the World romantic Taj Mahal, whose eternal beauty will astonish and mesmerize the visitors. It is also known as the "Crown of Palaces" built by the Emperor Shah Jahan to immortalize the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died in the year1631. The Taj - a poem of love in marble is, is referred to as 'a tear drop on the cheeks of Eternity'.

In the afternoon, discover the strong & magnificent Red Fort - built by the three generations of Mughal Emperors between the year 1565 and 1573, whose military power is beyond comparison. It was the residence of the Mughal Emperors. Each one of them just added to the existing character of the Fort : Red sandstone of Akbar and Jahangir and White marble of Shah Jahan. This Fort rises on the banks of Yamuna River, surrounded by a wall of 20 to 33 meters in height and 2500 meters in perimeter.

Proceed towards the hotel.

Day 4 : Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Ranthambore

In the morning leave for Ranthambore.

En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, Built in the 16th Century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for about 10 years. Then it was abandoned for known reasons. It includes one of the largest Mosques in India, the Jama Masjid Continue towards Ranthambore National Park. The park, which is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country, is one of the best places in India to see these majestic predators in the wild. It also contains abandoned fortress and lakes. Its 'friendly' tigers have made it one of the most filmed wildlife reserves in the world. Ranthambore was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and became part of Project Tiger in the year 1973.

On arrival, check into the hotel.

Day 5 : Ranthambore

Day dedicated for visit the Ranthambore National Park for an exciting experience with wild animals that include antelopes, spotted-deer, wild boars, monkeys, crocodiles and with a bit of extra luck the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.

Return to the hotel after the Safari.

Day 6 : Ranthambore / Bundi / Kota

Bundi

Morning depart for Bundi - The Rajputana of yore, set amidst the great Thar, the only desert of the sub-continent, is known not only for the sizzling heat and the dunes but also for the warmth in the hearts of the people. Considered as the most colourful region of India, this exotic land of valour and chivalry has an unusual diversity in all its forms, people, customs, culture, costumes, music, manners, dialects, and cuisine etc. Everything here is breathtakingly beautiful, impressive and fascinating. - The Hadoti region that is Bundi, the least explored land of Rajasthan.

Nestling at the footsteps of a large craggy hill, Bundi, named after Bunda Meena, was established by Rao Deva in 1241 A.D. The large dominating complex of fort and palaces, hugging the steep hillside, is mainly made of two- Garh-Palace and Taragarh-Fort.

Arrive Bundi and visit the Bundi Fort - Visit the Palace with its paintings, garden & temple. Also see the spectacularly ingenious water supply system. Thereafter, continue towards Kota (30 kms) & upon arrival check in to hotel.

Day 7 : Kota / Bijolia / Menal / Bijaipur

Morning, depart for Bijaipur en route visit Bijolia and Menal.

Around Bundi are deep gorges surrounded by forests, and within these lie the ruins of a 12th Century Palace. The name Menal is derived from Maha Nal (great gorge), and that is what Menal actually is.

Visit the Pratihara Temple, which is one of the finest examples of the 10th Century. Thereafter, continue towards Bijaipur. On arrival, check in to the Fort - built by Rao Shakti Singh in the 16th Century.

Day 8 : Bijaipur / Chittorgarh / Udaipur

In the morning leave for Chittorgarh, famous for its sprawling hilltop Fort situated on the hill and spread over 700 acres, which epitomises the romantic, Rajput chivalry. Its sacred walls and ruined palaces narrate the saga of heroism and innumerable sieges. Visit the Vijay Sthambh - the victory tower, it is 37 meters high with 9 stories. It was built in the year 1440 to commemorate Maharana Kumbha's victory over Muslim rulers of Malwa and Gujarat. The Rana Kumbha Palace - the palace where princess Padmini and other royal ladies committed 'Jauhar' (mass suicide). Continue towards the romantic city of Udaipur also known as "The White City". Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 : Udaipur

After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Udaipur. Udaipur is referred to as the "Venice of the East", the "Most Romantic City of India" and the "Kashmir of Rajasthan" (a reference to Dal Lake) and not without reason.

In the afternoon, visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari also called as the garden of demoiselles with its pond covered with lotus flowers, thereafter visit the school of paintings, which specialises in Miniatures.

In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola and visit Jag Mandir in the middle of the romantic Lake Pichola.

Later visit the romantic and stunning white marble Palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola, the magnificent City Palace - built in the year 725, the ancient palaces of the Mewar Royal family for centuries, and the Jagdish temple.

Later return to the hotel.

Day 10 : Udaipur / Ranakpur / Rohetgarh

In the morning depart for Ranakpur the most magnificent 15th Century Jain Temple in India, delicately carved out of white marble, in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli Hills. There are 1444 pillars in the Temples and none of them is similarly carved. Also visit the Temple of Adinath. Thereafter, continue to the village of Rohet--stay in the fortified desert home of the descendants of the 16th Century Champawat clan and experience the famed warmth of courteous Rajput hospitality.

Late in the afternoon, take a walk in the company of your host in the village to meet the people and get first-hand knowledge about their traditions and culture. Return to the hotel.

Day 11 : Rohetgarh / Jodhpur / Sand Dunes

In the morning depart for Jodhpur, the blue city in the desert. Visit its grand and imposing Mehrangarh fort, which was to be practically in impenetrable in times of war. Spread over many kilometres, it dominates the landscape. It shelters exquisite palaces decorated with mural frescos and stone laces. Thereafter proceed to the city and walk in its quaint and colourful markets, vividly testifying the history and glory of this princely state. Late in the afternoon continue for the camp located atop a sand dune in the desert and stop for this night. In the evening, take a Safari through the landscape of Thar Desert.

Check in to the hotel.

Day 12 : Sand Dunes / Jaisalmer

In the morning, departure for Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer, called the "Golden City", is located on the westernmost frontier of India in the state of Rajasthan. Close to the border with Pakistan, the city is known for its proximity to the Thar Desert. Desert Safari in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer is an unforgettable experience. The city is dominated by the Jaisalmer Fort. Unlike most forts in India, the Jaisalmer Fort is an actual living fort. There are shops, hotels, age old havelis (homes) inside the Fort area.

In the afternoon visit the Gaddi Sagar Lake, adorned with an arched gateway and the royal Cenotaphs at the Barj Bagh and view the setting Sun over this city,which has a spectacular glow.

Return to the hotel.

Day 13 : Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer

Visit of Jaisalmer, splendid caravan city founded in the year 1155 by Rao Jaisa. The rich merchants engaged stone-craftsmen who worked with great diligence on the sandstone mansions they built, filling up facades with sculptural filigree, screen windows, delicate pavilions and beautiful balconies. These veritable art-museums are still inhabited, and their colourful celebrations and festivals have placed Jaisalmer firmly on the world tourism map.

In the afternoon, proceed for an excursion towards Khuri-40 kilometres to see the picturesque wind-caressed dunes of the Thar Desert which create enchanting mirages, indeed a breath taking sight. Khuri is a must visit for tourists seeking solitude in the desert. It is a peaceful place with houses of mud and straw decorated like the patterns of Persian carpets.

Later return to Jaisalmer.

Day 14 : Jaisalmer / Bikaner

After breakfast depart for the fortified city of Bikaner. Lying at the northern tip of the famous triangle of the desert cities, Bikaner stands on a slightly raised ground and is surrounded by a long embattled wall with five entrance gates. Visit the Junagarh Fort, Palaces and Temples - magnificent creations in red and yellow sandstone, are living manifestations of its rich historical and architectural legacy. Bikaner is also famous for the best camel rides in the world. In the evening take a walk in the local market.

Later return to the hotel.

Day 15 : Bikaner / Kuchaman

Kuchaman

Depart through the arid land for Kuchaman City. This city controlled the salt trade as far as back as 1250 years ago. The citadel is perched on the hill. On arrival, Jeeps take you atop this magnificent Fort hotel passing though many exquisitely designed gates with fine paintings on the walls and the ceilings. This superb place includes visits of the different Palaces, Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas, Meena bazaar and the fabulous underground all weather swimming pool. The visit of the Fort speaks about its glorious history and the numerous battles fought here. The Palace is really superb and the view at night of the lit-up city and the Aravalli hills and Sambar Lake in the distance is truly enchanting.

Day 16 : Kuchaman / Jaipur (125 km)

After breakfast depart for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Steeped in history and culture, this city is known for its magnificent Palaces and forts, broad avenues and spacious gardens. Jaipur, with its romantic charm takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition. Arrival and proceed to the hotel. Your evening includes a panoramic city tour of Jaipur. Thereafter have a joyful cycle rickshaw ride in this quaint city and we guarantee you this ride shall be the ride of your life!

Later, return to the hotel.

Day 17 : Jaipur

After breakfast proceed for a visit to the Amber Fort, built during the time of the Mughals. The area used to be always prepared for war. Amber was the residence of the Maharajas. One is able to imagine the power of the Fort just by a look at the majestic ramparts of the Fort, which surround the palace. You will ascend this 11th Century Bastion on a gaily decorated elephants.

Visit the Palace with its crimped rooms full of mirrors and the old harem, in true labyrinth style. The magnificent public and private rooms show evidence of the splendour of the rulers of the 16th & the 17th Century.

There is a possibility of also attending a ceremony of a number of priest's religious chanting at the Kali temple. Puja is the time of prayers according to Hindu rites'. One can enter the Temple bare feet and any kind of leather is not permitted in the Temple.

Later return to the hotel.

Day 18 : Jaipur/ Delhi

After breakfast say goodbye to Rajasthan as you proceed for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, check into the hotel.

Day 19 : Delhi

Transfer to the airport to catch a homebound flight.
