This itinerary covers the following destinations : Delhi - Manali - Jispa - Jugtakh - Nulla Camp - Tsok Mesik - Morang la - Yabuk - Lungmo Che - Dat - Tsorra - Zalung Karpo La - Tamachan - Nimaling - Kongmaru La - Hemis - Leh - Delhi

Day 01 : Delhi

The colour & romance of India welcomes you with arms wide open as you reach Delhi. The aroma of Indian traditions gets hold of you in a fascinating way. The capital of India, Delhi, is one of the liveliest places in the whole world with something exciting & unexpected always happening every moment, at every corner For a first time visitor, it serves as a perfect start to a journey towards cultural wealth, different religious beliefs and the dynamisms of India. Delhi can often be both, a melting pot as well as a mosaic of cultures & a keen traveller can take back with him a multitude of experiences.

Meeting and assistance by our representative upon arrival, thereafter transfer to the hotel.

Later proceed for a city tour of New & Old Delhi. Visit the buildings of the British era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun's Tomb of the Mughal era (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & a prototype of the world famous Taj Mahal. Later explore the towering Qutab Minar(another UNESCO World Heritage Site). In the afternoon, visit Old Delhi of the Mughals comprising of the Red Fort & the Jama Masjid. Also visit Raj Ghat-The final resting place of Mahatama Gandhi.

Return to the Hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi / Manali

Manali

Early morning, leave for the airport to catch a flight to Kullu. On arrival meet our representative and transfer to Manali. After check into the hotel in Manali, later in the afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour. Go to the Vashishth Hot Springs. Around 3 km from Manali, across the River Beas is Vashist, a small village with natural sulphur springs. This popular attraction, houses modern bathhouses, with Turkish-style showers have the natural sulphur spring hot water piped into them for the convenience of the numerous visitors who come here to benefit from its medicinal properties.

Next visit the Hadimba Temple which is an ancient cave Temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, who was a character in the Indian epic, the Mahabharata. Later return to the hotel.

Day 03 : Manali

Enjoy today at leisure to take a stroll around the quaint little city of Manali. Later, rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 04 : Drive from Manali to Jispa

Drive along Beas river upstream ascending to its source at Rohtang Pass (3980 meters), which offers you a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains & lush green meadows towards Kullu Valley & snow clad mountain of C.B. Range of the Himalayas stark, rocky & hanging glaciers of Lahaul Valley. You Drive along Chandra River to Tandi (8kms) before Keylong. Also, visit Kardang Gompa.

Day 05 : Drive to Jugtakh over the Baralacha Pass

Drive down to Takh via Baralacha Pass & Lachlung Pass (5065meters). The word Baralacha means "a pass with crossroads". The pass has roads coming from Zanskar, Ladakh, Spiti and Lahaul. Stop for a break at Suraj Tal (4800 meters), a serene lake and the source of River Bhaga. Enjoy packed lunch en route.

On arrival check into the Camp.

Day 06 : Trek to Nulla Camp

In the morning, trek towards the Nulla Camp in the Ladakh Region. Walk along the Lingti Tsarap Chu River. On arrival check into the Camp.

Day 07 : Trek to Tsok Mesik

Trek to the base of Morang Pass and on your way you will witness the beauty of Phirtse Pass in Padum valley.

Overnight stay at the Camp.

Day 08 : Over Morang la (5300 meters) to Dhak Tao

It is a day to climb and from the top of the Morang Pass you can see the beautiful peaks of Zanskar Range. Overnight at the Camp.

Day 09 : Yabuk

Now you enter the Shan Valley. Walk along the banks of Zara Chu River to Yabuk village.

Day 10 : Lungmo Che

The trail soon splits to the left side of the river. Reach a large valley with Zara Chu River by its side, it is an excellent camping site.

Day 11 : Dat

Now you shall be in the Rupshu valley. Cross the Yar-La Pass (5000 meters) to the Dat village.

Day 12 : Tsorra

After crossing several Manes and Chortens, crossing two rivers Dat Chu & Sorra Chu River, you will finally reach the camping site of Tsorra.

Day 13 : Zalung Karpo La (5150 meters) - Tamachan

Turn right across the valley, cross Zalung Karpo La (5200 meters) and continue your trek towards the left side of the valley. After crossing a morainic wall & a large stream you will reach the campsite of Tamchan.

Day 14 : Nimaling

Follow a small stream until it starts heading towards the South.

Day 15 : Over Kongmaru La (5100 meters) to Chogdo

There is usually a simple bridge across the Nimaling chu which is replaced annually by local shepherds. Soon a saddle in the ridge ahead comes into view : this is the Kongmaru La. It is particularly difficult to pass for animals and for trekkers alike. Over night camp at Chogdo.

Day 16 : Trek to Hemis (5-6hrs) & Drive to Leh 2 hrs.

There is an entry point at the Hemis National Park. Visit the Hemis Gompa and then drive on to Leh.

On arrival check into the hotel.

Day 17 : Leh

After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing tour. Visit the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, the Magnetic Hill, Sangam of Indus & Zanskar and then proceed towards Likir Monastery & Alchi Monastery.

Later return to the hotel.

Day 18 : Leh / Delhi

Early morning, leave for the airport to catch a flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi meet our representative & proceed towards the hotel.

Later in the evening, transfer to Delhi International airport, to catch a homebound flight.
