The most magnificent natural heritage of India and Nepal are their wildlife. The rare animals here are Royal Bengal tigers, Snow leopards, Asiatic lions, and a variety of exotic birds. This is an ideal program for wildlife enthusiasts, which gives an overview of the wildlife, cultural and historical past.

Mumbai

Day 1 : Mumbai

Today's sightseeing tour of Mumbai includes a visit to the Prince of Wales museum (Monday closed). Set amongst verdant gardens, it is a huge complex with a bronze statue of King George-V standing outside. The monument designed in the year 1905- dominated by a huge tilted concrete dome, comprises of three main sections, Art, Archaeology and Natural history.

Day 2 : Mumbai / Ahmedabad by flight

The next day, transfer to the airport for a flight to Ahmedabad. The latter half of the day is free for independent activities.

Day 3 : Ahmedabad / Nal Sarovar (80 kms) / Velavadar (125 kms) / Utellia (60 kms)

The next day, take a tour of Ahmedabad, Nal Sarovar and Velavadar.

Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state of Gujarat located on the left bank of the River Sabarmati, offers a lot to visitors in terms of aesthetic experience- there are many beautiful monuments of historical and archeological importance, places of religious significance, picnic spots, excursion sites etc.

The Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary: primarily comprising of a huge lake and ambient marshes is mainly inhabited by migratory birds in winter and spring, and is the largest wetland Bird Sanctuary in Gujarat, and one of the largest in India.

A visit to the Velavadar Blackbuck Sanctuary, situated in the Bhavnagar District takes the interested tourist on an odyssey to the prestigious and rich in wildlife, The sanctuary, is, populated by blackbucks, Blue Bull, antelope, Wolf, Jackal, Hyena, Wild boars, jungle cat and a variety of birds.

The Palace of Utelia is situated at a distance of 78 kilometers from Ahmedabad and en route to Bhavnagar. It is a grandiose turn-of-the-century Haveli (mansion), which is specially imposing as compared to the hutments that crowd its high walls.

Day 4 : Utellia / Palitan / Bhavnagar

On this trip, experience the scenic beauty of Palitan and Bhavnagar.

Palitana Temple is the most famous pilgrimage place for the Jains. There are more than 1200 Temples located on the Shetrunjaya Hills. The main Temple at the top of the hill is dedicated to the first Tirthankar Lord Adinath. There are hundreds of other Temples on the Shetrunjaya Hills, and all are carved in marble.

There are number of important tourist spots in Bhavnagar. One of the important tourist attractions of Bhavnagar is the Takhteshwar Temple. Gandhi Smriti Museum or Gandhi Memorial is another important tourist attraction. Gaurishankar Lake is an important picnic spot with its well-maintained parks.

Day 5 : Bhavnagar / Diu (225 kms- 4 hrs 30 meters)

Spend the day at leisure. Later in the day, drive down to Diu.

Diu is considered as a fisherman's town, located in the Diu district in the State of Daman and Diu. It is located on an island on the Southern peninsula of Gujarat, and is well known for its Portuguese Fortress and old cathedrals.

Day 6 : Diu / Sasan Gir

Drive down to Sasan Gir for some more fun and adventure.

Day 7 : Sasan Gir

Enjoy the beauty and charm of Sasan Gir.

The Sasan Gir Forest is today the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in his natural habitat. The forest also harbours a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators are the panther and the hyena. The Indian deer, sambar, chital (spotted deer), nilgai (blue bull), chinkara and the chowsingha (four horned antelope) are found here, as also wild bear and the long tailed langur.

Day 8 : Sasan Gir

Spend another day at this area of paradise of beauty and mystery.

The Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary lies on the South Western fringes of the Saurashtra Peninsula. The sanctuary was created in the year 1913, is among the finest wildlife sanctuaries of India and is home to around 300 Asiatic lions.

Day 9 : Sasan Gir / Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary /Jamnagar (250 kms-05 hrs)

Early in the morning, we start on an overwhelming experience to the Khijaday Bird Sanctuary.

Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary, located about 12 km away from Jamnagar, is a unique wetland eco-system with two fresh water lakes, and is a paradise for waterfowls, waders and terrestrial birds.

Day 10 : Jamnagar / Khijadiya / Priton /Jamnagar

Enjoy the day shopping and experiencing Khijjaday and Priton. Later, in the day, head towards Jamnagar.

Jamnagar the Jewel of Kathiawar, is on the coast of Gulf of Kutch. It has unspoilt islands and beaches, hills, Temples, Palaces, forest area, fantastic bird life in a Bird Sanctuary & marine sanctuaries with fascinating corals and marine life in the Marine National Park.

Day 11 : Jamnagar / Zainabad

The next day drive down to Zainabad after letting the experience of Jamnagar sink in.

The wildlife sanctuary of Zainabad is famous for the rare Gudkhur or Asian wild ass. It is one of the largest sanctuaries of the country and is the home to numerous animals like desert cats, wolves, chinkaras, black bucks and many more. The sanctuary is the breeding ground for many birds like flamingos, hubara, bustards, sand grouse etc.

Blessed with natural scenic beauty, Zainabad has several tourist destinations.

Day 12 : Zainabad / Udaipur

The next day start your journey for Udaipur. On arrival check into the hotel and overnight in Udaipur.

Day 13 : Udaipur /Chittorgarh / Bijaipur

Experience the beauty of Chittorgarh and reach Bijaipur.

The city of Chittorgarh (formally Chittaurgarh or Chittor) was the capital of former Rajput state "Mewar", remembered in history for the bravery and valor of their rulers. Formerly, Chittorgarh was a fort city. The formidable fort at the top of a hill is still intact. Apart from its historical importance it has a number of Temples, including Kalika Mata Temple.

Day 14 : Bijaipur / Ranthambore

The next day experience Bijaipur and drive down to Ranthambore.

Bijaipur also offers you the thrill and excitement of jeep and camel safaris. Camping, trekking and boating are an integral part of Bijaipur. You can also enjoy fishing in the lotus lake of Bijaipur.

Day 15 : Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary

The Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary extends over an area of thick forests. The place abounds in natural scenic beauty. Ranthambore National park is spread over an area of 1,334 sq. km along with its nearby sanctuaries like - the Mansingh Sanctuary and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary. The park is majorly famous for its tigers and is one of the best locations in India to see the majestic predators in its natural habitat. The tigers can be easily spotted even during the day time busy at their ordinary quest- hunting and taking proper care of their young ones.

Day 16 : Ranthambore/ Bharatpur

The next day drive down to Bharatpur which is at a distance of about 200 kilometers.

Day 17 : Bharatpur

The Bharatpur National Park covers 29 square kilometers. It used to be the royal hunting preserve of the princely family of Bharatpur and is one of the most famous bird sanctuaries in India.

Today, the Painted Stork, Pelican Ibis, Spoonbills, Grey Heron etc. the rare Siberian cranes come to spend the winter in the warmer climate of Bharatpur. Bharatpur is considered as the Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan. Of the remnants of the royal past remains the marvellous Bharatpur Palace housing a rich repository of a large number of ancient exhibit that date back to the early 15th Century.

Day 18 : Bharatpur / Agra

The next day start your journey to a city full of Indian culture and heritage, popularly known as Agra.

Day 19 : Agra

Agra is the one of the prominent destinations of the World Tourism map with three heritage monuments -The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri & the Red Fort. It is more than just a decadent city of graveyards and stones, it is also a vibrant centre for Culture, Art and Religious philosophy that have enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, leather work, footwear, brassware, carpets, jewellery, and Zari embroidery work.

Agra is known for one of seven wonders of the world, the marble symphony of Emperor Shah Jahan - "The exquisite Taj Mahal". Discover the dazzling creations of their craftsmen in other architectural marvels in Agra, the quintessential Mughal City.

Day 20 : Agra / Delhi

The next day depart for Delhi, and thereafter, transfer to Delhi International airport for an onward flight to your onward destination.
