Day 01: Depart for Colombo
Depart for Colombo. Overnight on board.
Day 02: Colombo
Arrive in Colombo in the morning, welcome and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Colombo . Visit the fort and Pettah the hub of commercial activities, town hall, independence square, National museum, drive through cinnamon gardens, zoological gardens and visit a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 03: Colombo / Pinnawala / Sigiriya
Morning leave for Sigiriya via Pinnawala elephant orphanage. Witness feeding of elephants, including baby elephants being fed with milk bottles. Thereafter proceed to Sigiriya famous for stunning fifth century Rock Fort, the World heritage site 'Citadel in the sky" famed for its entrancing frescoes, lion stairway, and water gardens. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day O4: Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya
Morning visit Sigiriya Rock Fort and see the famed frescoes and the lion platform. Afternoon visit the former capital city of Polonnaruwa. Visit the Archaeological site, Gal Vihara, and the three statues of Buddha. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 05: Sigiriya / Dambulla / Kandy
After breakfast, depart for Dambulla rock temple too see 2000 years old frescoes and the colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of a living rock. Continue for Kandy via Matale visiting a Spice Garden. Arrive Kandy. Afternoon panoramic visit of the city, The Hill Capital of Sri Lanka. It is famous as the place where the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is kept. Visit a Gem museum & a workshop. Later in the evening visit to this sacred temple followed by a Kandyan dance performance. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 06: Kandy / Peradeniya / Nuwara Eliya
Morning after breakfast proceeds to Peradeniya. Visit the Royal Botanical Garden with exotic Flora from all over the world. Later leave for Nuwara Eliya which still retains the vestiges of Empire: a blend of Tudor and Georgian architecture, gabled roofs, and immaculate lawns. Afternoon, visit a Tea plantation and factory. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 07: Nuwara Eliya / Uda Walawe / Galle / Beach
Morning leave for The South Eastern Cost of the Island. En route, visit Uda Walawe, renowned for its elephants’ herds and wildlife. Later visit the Port city of Galle, the former Dutch city and the Dutch fort and view the architecture belonging to the Dutch era. Arrive at your Beach Property & overnight in the beach.
Day 08: Beach
Morning visit a Mask museum & a work shop in Ambalangoda. Then proceed to a Turtle hatchery. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in the beach.
Day 09: Beach
Full day at leisure. Overnight in the beach.
Day 10: Beach / Colombo
The day is the leisure to enjoy the beach. Late in the afternoon depart for Colombo and transfer to airport to take the flight for next destination.
