PALACE ON WHEELS – A LUXURY TRAIN
Duration : 07 Nights / 08 Days
(JOURNEY STARTS FROM DELHI THEN TO  JAIPUR, RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK, CHITTORGARH, UDAIPUR, JAISALMER, JODHPUR, BHARATPUR, AGRA AND TERMINITES IN DELHI)

It is on India's most prestigious train, in the style of Rajasthan's former Maharajas. The experience is unique; each night is spent on board in your comfortable luxurious train, whilst during the day you visit the most beautiful sites of the Rajasthan.

Day 1 : Wednesday - Delhi / Jaipur
Arrive at the railway station. Traditional welcome and departure for Jaipur at 1830 hrs, Dinner and overnight on board the train.

Day 02 : Thursday - Jaipur 
Arrive Jaipur the Pink City. Visit the Hawa Mahal and the magnificent and imposing Amber Fort like a Maharaja, on elephant back - Have lunch at a Palace hotel. Thereafter, visit the City Palace- the royal residence, and Jantar Mantar, the 18th Century Observatory. 
Depart for Sawai Madhopur. Overnight on board

Day 03 : Friday - Arrive Sawai Madhopur - 0530 hrs
Early morning visit the Ranthambore National Park. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be India’s best Tiger reserve. The park (392 sq. kms). is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, rate, jackal and fox constitute the carnivorous population. Leave for Chittorgarh, watch the colourful countryside.  
After lunch on board you are in Chittorgarh. Images of love and velour; scars of battles lost and won...thrice-besieged, Chittorgarh Fort is all this and more. Dinner and overnight on board

Day 4 : Saturday - Arrive Udaipur - 0800 hrs
Udaipur, the Lake City, was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar in 1559A.D. Visit the dream-like marble palaces - the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichhola. Visit to the City Palace. Later continue the journey. Overnight on board

Day 5 : Sunday - Arrive Jaisalmer – 0915 hrs
In the heart of the Thar desert lies Jaisalmer, founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156 A.D. Here the yellow sandstone fort is an imposing sight. Discover the painstakingly latticed havelis or mansions with their grand facades. Afternoon go for an exciting camel ride on the sand dunes. Enjoy the dinner and the cultural porgramme. Overnight on board

Day 6 : Monday - Arrive Jodhpur - 0700 hrs
Jodhpur, a city founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D. is known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort. Visit Jaswant Thada, and a group of marble cenotaphs. Lunch at a Palace hotel, return to the train. Overnight on board

Day 7 : Tuesday - Arrive Bharatpur - 0500 hrs
Arrival Bharatpur, renowned for The Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting places for thousands migratory birds including Siberian cranes. Thereafter depart for a visit of the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri- built a by Emperor Akbar.
Depart for Agra. Upon arrival visit the Agra Fort and after lunch arrive at the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Overnight on board

Day 8 : Wednesday - Arrive Delhi Cantt - 0730 hrs
Arrival at Delhi where this royal odyssey comes to an end.
