Day 1: NEW JALPAIGURI or Bagdogra / PHUENTSHOLING
Depart from New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra and drive through the scenic landscape towards Phuentsholing. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight in Phunetsholing
Day 2: PHUENTSHOLING / THIMPHU
After breakfast depart for Thimphu the modern capital town of Bhutan, visit Tashicho Dzong when king’s office is located and take a evening tour of Thimphu city. Overnight in Thimpu
Day 3: THIMPHU
After breakfast visit Memorial Chorten, The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosoph. Visit the Takin Preserve, Nunnery on the outskirts of Thimphu. Visit the Changgangkha Lhakhang (temple), National Library, a tour of Weekend Market and visit to the great Tashichho Dzong, seat of Bhutan's administrative and religious center. Overnight in Thimpu
Day 4: THIMPHU / PUNAKHA
After breakfast drive to Punakha (3 hrs. drive), the old winter capital. On a clear day panoramic views can be had of the eastern Himalaya, including Bhutan's highest mountain, Gangkar Punsum, 24,770ft/7,550m. Afternoon visit the courtyard of Punakha Dzong and drive to Wangdue to view Wangdi Phodrang Dzong. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 5: PUNAKHA / PARO
Breakfast at the hotel. Return drive to Paro descending back down from Dochu La. Arrival at Paro and checking into hotel. Then, proceed to Rinpung Dzong, built in 1646 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders and Paro’s monastic community. Overnight in Paro.
Day 6: PARO / TIGERS NEST / PARO
After a leisurely breakfast take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about 5 hours for round trip. On the way back to town visit Drukgyel Dzong, En route visit Kyichu Lhakhang. Overnight in Paro
Day 7 : PARO /RETURN
After breakfast transfer to airport. Leave for your onward destination
