Day 1 : DEPART FOR DELHI
Arrive Delhi - The capital of India, vsit of Qutab Minar and Humayun's Tomb. . It is a perfect introduction to the cultural wealth of India. The medieval atmosphere of the bazaars of Old Delhi contrasts sharply with the open, spacious streets of New Delhi, the imperial city created by the British. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 : Delhi / Chandigarh / Nalagarh (Train + 60 Kms).
Morning board train for Chandigarh. Upon arrival visit Chandigarh. Drive to Nalagarh via Pinjore Gardens .Arrive at Nalagarh, located on a hillock at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas affording a panoramic view of the Shivalik Hills. Overnight in Nalagarh.
Day 3 : Nalagarh / Simla (200 Km surface)
Morning depart for Shimla, the old summer capital of the British in India Located at an altitude of 2200 meters is magnificently robed in dense forests of oak and pine, fur and rhododendron Afternoon, a short walk to the Mall, the Viceroy Lodge and other buildings of the colonial era. Overnight in Simla.
Day 4 : Shimla / Baijnath / Taragarh (230 km surface)
Morning, drive to Taragarh. On the way visit the ancient temple of Baijnath dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue towards Taragarh located in the picturesque valley of Kangra - at an altitude of 1000 meters. Overnight in Taragarh.
Day 5 : Taragarh / Palampur / Paragpur (140 km)
Morning departure for Paragpur via Palampur- which is famous for its school of miniature painting. Arrive Paragpur. Afternoon stroll in the fruit orchards and the beautiful village of Pragpur-Garli to see the magnificent 16th century havelis. Overnight in Paragpur.
Day 6 : Paragpur /Dharamsala (75 km surface)
Morning depart for Dharamsala referred as mini Lhasa - It lies on the Dhauladhar range & the Pir Panjal region of the Outer Himalayas; Dharamsala at present is the seat of His Holiness Dalai LAMA since his exile in 1959. Afternoon visit Mc leodganj and the Tibetian Museum. Overnight in Dharamsala.
Day 7 : Dharamsala / Jammu (180 km Surface)
Morning stroll in colourful bazaars. Thereafter depart for Jammu - the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Also referred as The city of Temples. Overnight in Jammu.
Day 8 : Jammu / Leh (flight)
Morning board flight for Leh. The city bordered by the Karakorm Chain of mountains in the north and Himalayas in the South, gradually merging into an oasis of green fields, Later visit the Monastery. Overnight in Leh.
Day 9 : Leh
Morning, visit of Shey, the Old summer palace of the Kings of Ladakh, then visit Thiksey monastery- an imposing monastery and one of the finest example of Ladakhi architecture. Afternoon visit Hemis - the richest, biggest and most famous gompa in Ladakh built in 1630, belonging to the red sect, it is famed for its colourful annual Hemis Festival held in honour Guru Padma Sambhava.. Overnight in Leh.
Day 10 : Leh / ULE TOKPO
Morning excursion of Lamayuru. The present monastery dates back to the 16th century and has the 11 headed image of the Avalokiteshwara Buddha, mainly in ruins it also has some murals and thankas. Overnight in Leh.
Day 11 : Leh
Morning visit Shankar monastery which serves as the residence of the head priest - Kushak Bakula. A number of gold icons are to be found here. If time permits visit Tak-Thog Gompa. Overnight in Leh.
Day 12 : Leh /Delhi (flight)
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Meeting upon arrival and proceed for the City tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 13 : Delhi / Next Destination
In time transfer to airport for onward flight.
