This great journey from the Bay of Bengal to the Arabian Sea offers us a discovery of India with the splendid temples of Orissa, the oriental glory and treasures of the Deccan, the zenith of Chalukyan architecture and Goa with its grandiose churches and sunny beaches. This part of India offers riches full of legends, history, and architecture with varied and serene landscapes.


DAY 1: DEPART FOR CALCUTTA

Arrive in Calcutta. Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. It was from here the British Raj was launched in India and the city still bears the Victorian imprint on its streets and structures. In the afternoon panoramic visit of the city.  Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 2 : CALCUTTA 

Morning after breakfast, full day sightseeing. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 3 : CALCUTTA / BHUBANESWAR BY FLIGHT

Early morning transfer to airport to take a flight for Bhubneshwar.  Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel.  In the afternoon proceed to see the beautiful temples that offer great architectural delight and splendour. There is also a possibility to visit the ancient Udaygiri and Khandagiri caves. Overnight at the Hotel. 

DAY 4: BHUBANESWAR / PURI BY CAR (61 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, leave by surface for Holy City of Puri enroute visit Konark, renowned for its magnificent 13th century sun temple and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 5: PURI   

Morning breakfast at the Hotel and then free to relax on the Beach. In the afternoon visit Puri. Overnight at the Hotel.
 

DAY 6 : PURI / BHUBANESWAR BY CAR  (61 Kms) & THEN BHUBANESWAR/HYDERABAD BY FLIGHT. 

Morning after breakfast, return to Bhubaneshwar to take a flight for Hyderabad. Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing of city includes visit of the Salar Jung museum- the largest one man collection museum in the World with priceless collection of antiques. Later visit famous Char Minar. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 7 :  HYDERABAD 

Morning after breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the historic Golconda fort. It is also known for its Diamond market. It is said that the world famous diamond "Kohinoor" came from here. Afternoon is free to rest or to explore the city on your own. 

Overnight at the hotel. 

DAY 8 : HYDERABAD / BIDAR / GULBARGA BY CAR (261 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, proceed to Gulbarga via Bidar, capital of Bahamani rulers in 14th and 15th century. Late in the afternoon visit the Fort, Jama Masjid the Haft Gumbaz, the tomb of Khwaja Bande Nawaz (an important local Muslim saint) and the Sharana Basaveshwara temple. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 9 : GULBARGA / BIJAPUR BY CAR (165 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, proceed towards the medieval walled city of Bijapur originally founded by the Chalukyas between 10th and 11th Century and was called Vijaypura or the city of victory whence comes its present name Bijapur. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 10: BIJAPUR / BADAMI BY CAR (120 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, leave by car for Badami and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. In the afternoon we visit the astonishingly beautiful rock-cut temples replete with carved pillars and bracket figures with some magnificent frescoes dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu in various reincarnations. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 11: BADAMI / PATTADAKAL / AIHOLE / BADAMI (70 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, day return trip to Pattadakal (a world heritage site) and Aihole (the first Chalukyan capital). Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 12 : BADAMI / GOA (256 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, leave by car for Goa (located on the Konkan coast). Being under Portuguese colonial rule for more than 450 years it has Portuguese influence in almost every aspect of Goan life, architecture etc. Upon arrival in Goa, transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 13 : GOA 

Morning after breakfast, free to relax. In the afternoon visit Panaji, Capital of Goa. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 14: GOA 

Morning after breakfast, full day free to relax by the beach side or independent activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 : GOA / MUMBAI BY FLIGHT

Morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport to take a flight for Mumbai (dubbed as the financial capital of India). Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon city tour of Mumbai. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 16 : DEPART MUMBAI BY FLIGHT/ NEXT DESTINATION  

Morning after breakfast/In time transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination.

THE ABOVE IS INDICATIVE COST BASED ON 02 PERSONS TRAVELING TOGETHER AND VALID FROM 01 OCT’15 TILL 31 MARCH’16. THE INDICATIVE COST INCLUDES:

  • Accommodation in Twin / Double Sharing Room for 15 nights/16 days at 3-4 star Hotels on bed & breakfast basis.
  • Traditional welcome with Flower Garlands on arrival at the airport
  • Transfers, sightseeing/excursions by an air conditioned car as per the itinerary. 
  • 1 time entrance fees to all Monuments during the sightseeing.
  • Services of English speaking local guide during the sightseeing.
  • 02 bottles of mineral water (500 Mg per bottle) per person per day during transfer from one city to another city. 
  • Assistance of our local representative offices
  • Presently applicable Government Taxes except the VAT (applicable on total cost of package @ 3.50% and is subject to change).
