(Delhi-Orchha-Khajuraho-Bandhavgarh National Park-Jabalpur-Panchmarhi-Bhopal-Ujjain-Indore-Mandu-Champaner-Vadodara-Ahmedabad-Lothal-Utelia-Palitana-Bhavnagar-Mumbai)

Highlight of the tour is states of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat which testify their past splendour  in consistency. Each page of history is marked by superbly made monuments. 

Day 1 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 2 : Delhi
Morning after breakfast,  enjoy a city tour of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat (memorial of Mahatma Gandhi) and drive past Chandni Chowk. In New Delhi visit the Qutab Minar, Humayun Tomb, and the modern Birla Mandir Temple. Drive past India Gate (War Memorial), the President's House which was once the Viceroy's Palace, the Parliament House and Secretariat Buildings. Overnight at the Hotel.


Day 3 : Delhi / Jhansi by train (0600/1045 Hrs) then to Khajuraho via Orchha (175 Kms)
Early morning, transfer to the Railway Station to board a train for Jhansi. Meet/assist upon arrival in Jhansi and proceed to Khajuraho en route visiting Orchha (a medieval city flanked by the river Betwa, known for its 17th Century Palaces and Temples). Upon arrival in Khajuraho, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 4 : Khajuraho
Morning after breakfast, half day sightseeing of Western and Eastern Group of Temples. The western group of temples, built by Chandela Kings some 1000 years ago. The ceilings and walls are adorned with exquisite carvings depicting the human life, feasts, hunting, music, dance!  Eastern Group of Temples are dedicated to Jainism. Afternoon free for independent activities. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 5 : Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh National Park (270 km)
Morning after breakfast, depart for Bandhavgarh National Park  and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Bandhavgarh National Park lies in the heart of the Vindhyan Mountain Range,  is situated in the erstwhile State of Rewa. Besides its enchanting landscape and majestic tree clad hills, it is famous for its rich variety of wildlife and archaeological remains of the Kalchuri period. After a late lunch, proceed for a Jeep Safari (Safari closed on Wed afternoon) into the jungle. Overnight at the Hotel.
 

Day 6 : Bandhavgarh National Park
The day is dedicated to safaris rides (Safari closed on Wed afternoon) in the Reserve with a naturalist, in search of the tiger, various mammals and varieties of birds. An adventurous day to be spent midst nature in the jungle. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 7 : Bandhavgarh National Park/ Jabalpur (200 km)
Morning after breakfast, depart for Jabalpur. The old capital of the Gonda Kings during the 12th Century, thereafter the seat of the Kalchuri. On arrival check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Madan Mahal Fort located atop a rocky hill. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 8 : Jabalpur / Pachmarhi (240 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, depart for Pachmarhi -Madhya Pradesh's most verdant jewel, a place where nature has found exquisite expression in myriad enchanting ways. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Day free to relax. Walk through the valleys and ravines to admire the area's natural beauty. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 9 : Pachmarhi / Bhopal (210 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, depart for Bhopal and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. This city is situated on the site of an 11th Century city of Bhojapat. Afternoon visit the Jama Masjid and the Gohar Mahal. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 10 : Bhopal / Sanchi / Bhimbetka Rock Shelter/Bhopal (200 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, day return trip to Sanchi and Bhimbetka Rock Shelter. Sanchi Stupa, the world largest Stupa was originally built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. Visit museum also. Thereafter proceed to Bhimbetka Rock Shelter which are an archaeological site of the Paleolithic exhibiting of earliest traces of Human life on the Indian subcontinent and thus beginning of the South Asian Stone Age. Return to the Hotel in Bhopal for overnight stay.

Day 11 : Bhopal / Indore via Ujjain (250 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Indore enroute visiting Ujjain ( Ujjain is situated on the right bank of the River Shipra). Visit the Mahakaleshwara Temple and other temples. Thereafter, continue towards Indore. On arrival transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 12 : Indore
Morning after breakfast, half day sightseeing of Indore. The city has a rich cultural heritage. The place is all set to fascinate you with the charm of its architectural grandeur and historical enigma. The sightseeing includes visit of Rajwada, Kanch Mandir, Lalbagh Palace, Town Hall and Indore Meuseum. Afternoon free. Overnight at the Hotel.  

Day 13 : Indore / Omkareshwar / Maheshwar / Dhar (215 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Dhar, with the first stop at Omkareshwar ( the sacred Island) then to Maheshwar Temple located on the banks of river Narmada. Thereafter, continue towards Dhar and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 


Day 14 : Dhar / Mandu / Dhar (75 Kms)

Morning after breakfast, a full day excursion to the deserted city of Mandu. Built as a testament of love by a Muslim ruler named Baz Bahadur for his Hindu queen Roopmati. Each of Mandu's structures is an architectural gem. Return to Dhar for overnight stay at the Hotel. 


Day 15 : Dhar / Champaner / Vadodara (300 km)

Morning after breakfast,  proceed toward Vadodara enroute visiting Champaner. Champaner is a historical city in the state of Gujarat. The city was briefly the capital of Gujarat. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 16 : Vadodara / Ahmedabad (115 km)
Morning after breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Vadodara visiting the Museum, Pratap Vilas Palace the erstwhile residence of the Royal family. Thereafter, proceed towards Ahmedabad, graced with splendid monuments built by its founder in 15th Century. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 17 : Ahmedabad / Utelia via Lothal (90 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, half day sightseeing of Ahmedabad visiting Sidi Saiyad Mosque known for is exquisite stone window tracery. The Juma Masjid and the Sabarmati Ashram founded by Mahatma Gandhi . In the afternoon, we drive to Utelia via Lothal and upon arrival, transfer to Hotel.  Later proceed to the Utelia Palace built in Indo-Saracenic architecture. Overnight in Utelia.

Day 18 : Utelia / Palitana / Bhavnagar (200 Kms)
Morning after breakfast, depart for Bhavnagar enroute visiting Palitana ( famous for the ancient Jain Temples). There are 863 exquisite marble Temples. Some of these Temples are more than 900 years old. Thereafter, continue towards Bhavnagar, once the capital of the princely state now a coastal city. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel for overnight stay. 

Day 19 : Bhavnagar / Mumbai by flight 
Morning after an early breakfast, sightseeing of Bhavnagar city. Later transfer to airport to board flight to Mumbai. Mumbai is the Gateway of India and the centre of world's largest and renowned film industry commonly called Bollywood. Meet/assist upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 20 : Mumbai
Morning after breakfast, take a cruise in the Arabian Sea to see the world famous 7th century Elephanta Caves- Carved out of solid rock (closed on Monday).  Afternoon sightseeing of Mumbai. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 21 : Mumbai
Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport to board flight back to Home/onward destination.

THE ABOVE IS INDICATIVE COST BASED ON 02 PERSONS TRAVELING TOGETHER AND VALID FROM 01 OCT’15 TILL 31 MARCH’16. THE INDICATIVE COST INCLUDES:

  • Accommodation in Twin / Double Sharing Room for 20 nights/21 days at 3-4 star Hotels on bed & breakfast basis except at Bandhavgarh National Park where on full board basis.
  • Traditional welcome with Flower Garlands on arrival at the airport
  • Transfers, sightseeing/excursions by an air conditioned car as per the itinerary. 
  • 1 time entrance fees to all Monuments during the sightseeing.
  • Train ticket (air conditioned chair car) from Delhi to Jhansi.
  • Services of English speaking local guide during the sightseeing.
  • 03 Game-viewing in Bandhavgarh National Park by sharing Jeep/canter
