Lord Buddha, Bodhgaya Tours & Travels
The colour & romance of India welcomes you with arms wide open as you reach Delhi. The color and the aroma of Indian spices and Indian tradition get hold of you in a moderate yet a fascinating way. The capital of India, Delhi, is one of the most alive places in the whole world with a pinch of Indian culture and heritage and two of its monuments- the Qutab Minar and the Humayun's Tomb, have been declared as the World Heritage Sites. For a first timer to India, it serves as a perfect start to a journey towards cultural wealth, different religious beliefs, complexities and the dynamism of India. Meeting and assistance once you arrive, thereafter leave for the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi - Patna - Bodhgaya

The next morning leave for the airport for a flight to Patna, the Capital city of Bihar - Lord Buddha the gentle colossus who founded the first universal religion of the world, worked and lived much of his life in Bihar though he was born in Kapilavastu, now in Nepal. Most of the major events of his life, like enlightenment and the last sermon happened in Bihar. Significantly, the state's name originated from 'Vihara' meaning Buddhist and Jain monasteries, which abounded in Bihar.

Later proceed to Bodhgaya which is one of the sacred places for the Buddhists as well as for the Hindus. Here under the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Budhha, the `Enlighted One'. Enroute visit Nalanda & Rajgir.

Early morning, a boat ride on the Ganges at dawn when it is full of pilgrims is an amazing place to witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions.
Later visit the Sarnath Temple - 5 miles out of Varanasi. Sarnath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world, where Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 BC. Sarnath has a fine Museum filled with sculptures found at the site. In the afternoon proceed for Kushinagar. Once there check in at the hotel.
