Right at the top of North-Eastern India, crowning its six clustered sisters like a protective helmet, is Arunachal Pradesh, the `Land of the Dawn-lit- Mountains.' This is the first Indian land to greet the morning sun. Once described as the 'Hidden Land', the greatest attraction of the State is its dazzling array of flora and fauna in a habitat that combines glacial terrain, alpine meadows, and sub-tropical rain forests.

Day 1 : Arrival Kolkata
Meet our representative on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Kolkata, India's largest metropolitan is a vibrant city constantly on the move. It was from here that the British Raj was launched in India and the city still bears the Victorian imprint on its streets and structures. This city of about 11 million people is the commercial nerve-centre of the East, with major industrial units. With a seething mass of activity, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Kolkata is famous for films, poetry, art and dance. It is also called the intellectual capital of India. A visit the botanical gardens which house the World's second largest & the oldest Banyan tree.
Day 2 : Kolkata / Chandernagor / Kolkata
The next morning, go for an excursion to Chandernagor, situated along the banks of the River Ganges, the city has been able to keep herself separated from all other cities and abide by her own characteristics. The "City of Liberty" has always attracted people from all over the world because of her indescribable beauty. This small town, over a period of 300 years has a unique blend of culture and heritage which is indefinable in history.
Later, we return to Kolkata and take a guided walk around the colonial city. Enjoy a boat cruise in small boats under the starlit sky at Outram Ghat.
Return to the hotel.
Day 3 : Kolkata / Guwahati
Early morning leave for the airport to board a flight for Guwahati - Excavations trace the origins of the city to around the 6th Century and it was the capital of Assam until the 10th Century. This 'City of Eastern Light' situated on the bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra, Guwahati is the gateway to North Eastern India and is its commercial centre. The name Guwahati is a combination of two words: Guwa, meaning areca nut and Hat, which means market. In the afternoon, visit the Kamakhya Temple atop the Neelachal Hill, the highest spot in the city draws pilgrims from all over India, especially during the Ambubachi festival. A high seat of the Shakti Sect, it is associated with the legend of the mother Goddess who slayed the legendary demon King Narakasur who ruled ancient Assam.
Visit the Jatinga, Umananda Temple, and the Nabagraha Temple.
Later return to the hotel.
Day 4 : Guwahati / Itanagar
The next morning proceed for Itanagar - The capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar is a well-planned town. Cradled between two hills, the Governor's residence on one side and a Buddhist Temple on the other side. It is believed that a Sage named Vyas meditated here. Itanagar was called Mayapur during the reign of the Jiti Dynasty which ruled the region in the 11th Century. Even during the reign of the Jiti Kings, Mayapur was the capital city.
Arrival at Itanagar by evening and check into the hotel.
Day 5 : Itanagar
The next morning, visit the magnificent Ita Fort (ita: brick), dating back to the 14th-15th Century, which is believed to have been built by King Ramachandra. Also, visit the Buddhist Temple & Gayker Sinyi. Itafort, is a historical fort built mainly with bricks. Ganga Lake locally known as Gekkar Sinyi is full of many interesting plant species.
Visit the State Museum, known as Jawaharlal Nehru Museum; time spent here can really acquaint you with the culture and tradition of this region. All prototype of bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of different tribes and apparel, design and functional tools and other handicrafts are on display here.
Later in the day, return to the hotel.
Day 6 : Itanagar / Ziro
The next morning, proceed to Ziro, which is a small picturesque destination with pine and bamboo groves, villages, a craft centre and Tarin Fish Farm which is located at a high altitude. The indigenous method of rice cultivation is also worth seeing in this area. En route visit Zoram village, a village belonging to the Nishi tribe.
On arrival, check into the hotel.
Day 7 : Ziro
After breakfast, enjoy the entire day on an interesting visit to the Apa Tani Tribes. The women here wear abstract nose rings. The uniqueness of the Apatani tribe is the tattoos seen on the local women's faces and their large sized nose rings. The women here are famous for their weaving skills. They are worshippers of the Donyi Polo faith and believe in the power of spirits & souls who bless them.
In the evening, return to the hotel.
Day 8 : Ziro / Daporijo
The next morning, proceed towards Daporijo. En route, visit Hill Miri villages. Daporijo, is a beautiful place on the right bank of the River Subansiri dotted with picturesque villages along route. Also, visit the historical caves of this area.
Day 9 : Daporijo / Along
Early morning, visit Lida village. Depart for Along, and visit Bora Rupak and other Galong villages enroute. The Along village is located on the Southeren bank of River Siyom & the Adis (the Local tribe) are nature worshippers.On arrival check into the hotel.
Day 10 : Along
After breakfast, spend the entire day to explore the Gallong & Miniyong tribal villages. Take a walk on the hanging bridge on the River Siyum. Later, visit one of the largest Gallong tribal villages called Darka village which has more the 1500 houses made of bamboo and palm. Also worth a visit, is the breeding farm of Mithun & Jersy. This particular meat is very well appreciated by all the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
Return to the hotel.
Day 11 : Along / Pasighat
In the morning, proceed to Pasighat - Pasighat is situated on the banks of the River Siang and is at a height of 152 meters from sea level. Pasighat is ideal for river rafting, boating and angling on River Siang.
En route visit Adi Miyong village to witness a local Tapu Dance.
On arrival, check into the hotel.
Day 12 : Pasighat / Dibrugarh
The next morning, leave for Bogivil Ghat (165 kms/ approximately 5 hrs) to board the boat to Dibrugarh. Leave for Dibrugah crossing the River Bramhaputra on a local passenger boat (approx. 1 hr) Reach the bank of the Brahmaputra near Dibrugarh.

Day 13 : Dibrugarh / Sibsagar
The next morning proceed to Sibsagar which was the capital of the Ahom Kings who ruled Assam before the advent of the British. The town is built round the Sibsagar Tank, dug over 200 years ago. The tank is above town level although situated in the heart of the town. On its banks you would see some of the most famous Temples of Sibsagar.
On arrival check into the hotel.
Day 14 : Sibsagar / Majuli
The next morning, proceed to Majuli, the world's largest river island (886 sq km) and is famous for its 22 ancient Vaishnavaite Hindu Monasteries or Satras, which also serve as centres for the preservation of Assamese arts. The institution of the Satra was founded in the 15th Century by the great Assamese poet, composer and philosopher Sankardeva. The most pleasant way to see the Satras is on foot.
Later return to the hotel in Majuli.
Day 15 : Majuli / Kaziranga
The next morning, proceed towards Kaziranga National Park. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.
On arrival check into hotel or jungle lodge.
Day 16 : Kaziranga
Early morning go for a Safari into the Park. It is home to a wide variety of other animals and birds, and the open vistas make it relatively easy to see many species of wildlife in a day. Enjoy an elephant ride in the afternoon.
Later, return to your lodge.
Day 17 : Kaziranga / Guwahati
Early in the morning, proceed towards Guwahati city. Guwahati is known as one of the few places in the world to receive the heaviest seasonal rainfall. Here, the annual rainfall can reach up to 8 meters.
On arrival check into the hotel.
Day 18 : Guwahati / Kolkata
In the morning, board the flight for Kolkata and visit the Victoria Memorial, National Museum and Chowringee Lane.
Day 19 : Depart from Kolkata
After a memorable trip to India and its rich culture, depart for the International airport to board your flight back home.
