Arunachal Pradesh, the`Land
of the Dawn-lit- Mountains
Right at the top of north-eastern India, crowning its six clustered sisters like a protective helmet, is Arunachal Pradesh, the `Land of the Dawn-lit- Mountains.' This is the first Indian land to greet the morning sun. Once described as the 'Hidden Land'. The greatest attraction of the state is its dazzling array of flora and fauna in a habitat that combines glacial terrain, alpine meadows, and sub-tropical rain forests.

This itinerary covers the following destination : Calcutta - Chandernagor - Guwahati - Itanagar - Ziro - Daporijo - Along - Pasighat - Dibrugarh - Sibsagar - Majuli - Kaziranga - Guwahati - Calcutta
Day
1 : Reach Calcutta
Meet us on arrival & move to the hotel. Calcutta, India's largest metropolitan is a vibrant city on the move. It was from here that the British Raj was launched in India and the city still bears the Victorian imprint on its streets and structures. This city of about 11 million people is the commercial nerve-centre of the East, with major industrial units. A seething mass of activity with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Calcutta is famous for films, poetry, art and dance. It is also called the intellectual Capital of India. Also, visit the botanical gardens which houses the Worlds second largest & the oldest banyan tree.
Day 2 : Calcutta / Chandernagor / Calcutta
The next morning, go for an excursion to Chandernagor, situated along the banks of the river ganges, the city has been able to keep herself separated from all other cities and abide by her own characteristics. The ''City of Liberty " has always attracted people from all over the world because of her indescribable beauty. This small town, over a period of 300 years has a unique blend of culture and heritage which is indefinable in the history.
Later, get back to Calcutta after a visit to the botanical gardens which is counted amongst the most astonishing Gardens and it houses the Worlds second largest & the oldest banyan tree.

3 : Calcutta / Guwahati
Early morning leave for the airport to board a flight to Guwahati - City of Eastern Light situated on the bank of the mighty river Brahmaputra. It is the gateway to north eastern India and is its commercial centre. The name Guwahati is a combination of two words: Guwa meaning areca nut and Hat meaning market. Later, in the afternoon visit the Kamakhya Temple, Jatinga, Umananda Temple, Nabagraha Temple.
Day 4 : Guwahati / Itanagar
The next morning proceed for Itanagar - The capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar is a well-planned town .Cradled between two hills, the Governor's residence on one and a Buddhist temple on the other. It is believed that sage Vyas meditated here. Itanagar was called Mayapur during the reign of the Jiti Dynasty that ruled the region in the 11th century. Even during the reign of the Jiti kings, Mayapur was the capital city.
Day 5 : Itanagar
The next morning visit the magnificent Ita Fort (ita, brick), dating back to the 14th-15th century, which is believed to have been built by King Ramachandra. Also, visit the Buddhist Temple & Gayker Sinyi.

6 : Itanagar / Ziro
The next morning proceed to Ziro, which is a small picturesque destination with Pine and Bamboo groves, villages, a craft centre and Tarin Fish Farm which is located at a high altitude. The indigenous method of rice cultivation is also worth seeing.
Day 7 : Ziro
Morning visit the Tribes - Apa Tani. The women carry abstract nose rings. Men and women are tattooed. The women are famous for their ability to weave.
Day 8 : Ziro / Daporijo
The next morning proceed towards Daporijo. Enroute visit amazing villages. Daporijo, is a beautiful place on the right bank of Subansiri river with picturesque villages. Also, visit the caves.
Day 9 : Daporijo / Along
Morning proceed to Along, a beautifull small village. Located on the southeren bank of river Siyom.

10 : Along
The next morning visit the villages around Along. Also worth visiting is the breeding farm of Mithun & Jersy . Its meat is very well appreciated by all the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
Day 11 : Along / Pasighat
Morning proceed to Pasighat - built by a Britisher in 1911, located at Siang river. Enroute, a visit to the Logumjining, Pasighat is ideal for river rafting, boating and angling on river Siang.
Day 12 : Pasighat / Dibrugarh
The next morning board a boat to dibrugarh, which is the headquarter of the district Visit the arear. Overnight.
Day 13 : Dibrugarh / Sibsagar
Morning proceed to Sibsagar which was the capital of the Ahom Kings who ruled Assam before the advent of the British. The town is built round the Sibsagar tank, dug over 200 years ago. The tank is above town level although situated in the heart of the town. On its banks you would see some of the most famous temples of Sibsagar.

14 : Sibsagar / Majuli
The next morning proceed to Majuli, the Largest river Island in the World. Once there, visit the largest riverine Delta system in the world which is a religious site where tantrism is learnt & practiced.
Day 15 : Majuli / Kaziranga
The next morning proceed towards Kaziranga National Park. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.
Day 16 : Kaziranga
It is located on the banks of Brahmaputra, a World Heritage Site, Kaziranga's 430 sq kms of lush green flood plains are home to some of the most fascinating wildlife in Asia. Enjoy a ride on the elephant and also travel by jeep.
Day 17 : Kaziranga / Guwahati
Morning proceed to Guwahati Assam is one of the most sprinkled place in the world. The annual rainfall can reach 8 meters. Overnight.

18 : Guwahati / Calcutta
Morning board the flight for Calcutta and visit the Victoria Memorial, National Museum and Chowringee Lan.
Day 19 : Depart from Calcutta
After filling yourself with India and its culture, leave for the airport to board your flight back home.
